Welcome to my Real Estate Staging blog! I am a residential real estate agent with Keller Williams Realty in Portland, Maine. (http://www.decourseyproperties.com/) I am also a professional Home Stager (http://www.decourseyhomestaging.com/) with over 15 years of experience in design.

Why start a blog? Well, one of my New Year's Resolutions for 2008 is to embrace technology to market my services and better leverage my time. Blogging seemed an appropriate place to start but I wasn't sure how to get up and running. I discovered that there was a class on blogging at my Keller Williams market center and signed up. (funny what you notice when you really start looking for things!) The next step was to choose a "theme" for my blog, an area of personal or professional interest that I could work from. Staging made a good fit. Home Staging is a very hot trend in real estate right now but, like so many other trends, just getting started in Maine. If I could help spread the word about this new way to market and sell property, I might generate some buzz and meet some fellow stagers. I have lots of ideas and tips, links and stories to come.
